🪪 Personalized Titles in Your Notes

Set how you're referred to in your notes, once.
You can choose how you'd like to be referred to in your notes under Account Settings → Note Preferences. Select from Therapist, Clinician, Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, or APRN, or enter a custom title of your own. Set it once and Berries will use it consistently across every note going forward.
Head to Note Preferences to set yours, or learn more about Note Preferences in this article.
A second perspective on the part of clinical work that doesn't always make it into the note.
After each session, Berries now gives you Insights - reflections on what worked, what may be worth revisiting, how the conversation unfolded, and connections that can be hard to catch in the moment.
To explore this new feature, open any note in Berries and select the Insights tab, or Learn more about Insights in this article.
Our commitment to building AI responsibly, in writing.
We've published our framework for how we build AI at Berries, covering the principles that guide our work: privacy, transparency, human oversight, safety, and clinical integrity. It's meant to give clinicians a clear, honest look at how we think about AI's role in mental health care.
Insurance-friendly treatment plans, made easier.
Following the Barbara Griswold Progress Note Template, we're continuing our partnership with Barbara Griswold, author of Navigating the Insurance Maze and one of the most trusted voices in helping therapists work with insurance. The new Barbara Griswold Treatment Plan Template helps you build treatment plans with clear goals, measurable objectives, and documentation that supports medical necessity and ongoing care.
Add it to your account here and start using it right away, available to everyone.
Supporting the next generation of clinicians.
Berries is now partnering with universities and clinical training programs, including programs at NYU and LSU, to support students throughout their academic and clinical journey. Berries can serve as both an educational tool for learning clinical documentation and workflows, and a clinical tool for real-world practicum and training experiences.
If your university, training program, or department is interested in partnering with Berries, we'd love to connect at help@heyberries.com.
Smart Diagnosis now lives at the bottom of the note, right where you're already reviewing and wrapping up your documentation.
Same suggested diagnoses, same one-click approvals, just easier to find exactly when you need them.

🗂️ Context

Give Berries the fuller picture, upfront.
Context lets you upload intake notes, background information, clinical history, assessments, or any other important patient details, so your documentation reflects more than just what's covered in session. Berries combines this with your session notes to build a richer clinical understanding of each patient over time, working privately behind the scenes to support more accurate, personalized notes.

💊 Medication List

Medications now have their own dedicated space in Berries, to keep medications organized, current, and carried forward across every note.
Current, proposed, and past medications each stay in their own category, so nothing gets mixed up. Completing a note can automatically update the list based on what was documented, keeping your records accurate without extra work.
Better documentation support for therapists who work with insurance!
We partnered with Barbara Griswold, one of the leading voices in helping therapists navigate insurance, to create a new note template designed around insurance requirements.
It helps you capture the details that matter most for reimbursement and documentation, so your notes are thorough where it counts. Find it now in our Template Library and start using it right away.
Set it once and have it appear in every note- static Sections are parts of your note that always appear, no matter what. They're not generated by AI, they stay exactly as you write them.
Use them for standard language, consent or disclaimer statements, required documentation, or risk and safety notes. You'll find it in the Template Builder, just turn on Static Section for any section you'd like!
